Unattended items may attract theft, and Building Management is not responsible for any lost or stolen property in these spaces. If you need to step away, we recommend setting a timer to ensure your laundry is promptly retrieved and not left unattended for an extended period. Washers and dryers are maintained by Hainsworth Laundry Company. If a washer or dryer malfunctions, visit the Hainsworth Service Request Portal .     < Back Previous Next Security Weather Safety It’s great to prepare for extreme weather conditions, like snowstorms and heat waves, in advance. Stay stocked up on food, prescriptions, and other daily essentials. If you need help accessing food and medical supplies, contact your Resident Services Coordinator. If you drive, make sure that your car is filled with gas In icy conditions, be cautious to avoid falls and accidents. Wear shoes with traction and use walking sticks if needed for extra stability. When possible, avoid going out when there is snow or ice. DO NOT space heaters. Space heaters are not allowed at Bellwether because they are a fire risk. Every apartment has heat. If there is a problem with your heaters, please alert your Site Manager for Maintenance to assess. If there is a power outage, use battery powered lights. Keep these lights where it is easy to find them. During a power outage do not use candles near flammable materials. Keep candles or lanterns out the of the reach of children. Do not use grills, generators, or other gas-powered appliances in your home or anywhere on the property due the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning. Acts of nature will happen, and it is best to wait them out versus engaging in any risky behaviors. Inform trustworthy neighbors when you plan to be away so that they can keep an eye out on your place. Building management hosts community events. Residents can also lead events or gatherings. If you’d like to organize community, reach out to Building Management. Being part of community events and getting to know your neighbors builds a sense of community.     Partnerships Bellwether Housing amplifies our impact with joint project development and service provider partnerships.   Joint Project Development   Bellwether partners with non-profit affordable housing developers and operators who demonstrate stability, capacity, and a long-term commitment to building and maintaining affordable housing in the Puget Sound region. We focus on emerging BIPOC developers and community-based organizations to build capacity.  Mixed-income developments in partnership with non-profit developers  Mixed-use projects that combine nonprofit or commercial uses with affordable housing  Housing projects that need experienced co-ownership and management  We work together to leverage the knowledge and expertise of community-based organizations to engage the residents and local community members.  Some of the organizations partnering with Bellwether in joint project developments include Chief Seattle Club , Muslim Housing Services , University Christian Church , Mercy Housing Northwest , and Plymouth Housing .  Service Provider Partnerships   Bellwether partners with non-profit service providers to plan spaces for culturally-informed uses in our multi-use developments, such as child care and human services.  Organizations with which we have a service provider relationship include; Hopelink , Friends of the Village Collective , El Centro de la Rasa , Kids Co., Family Works , Wellspring Family Services , and DSHS Developmental Disabilities Administration.

Refer to Bellwether’s Grievance Process for more information. Where do I find answers for questions that aren’t online? Many questions can be answered by reading your lease.     < Back Previous Next Rent and Access Keys I've locked myself out, what do I do? If you lock yourself out during regular business hours, contact your Site Manager. They will arrange to let you in as soon as possible. If you lock yourself out after hours and can’t wait until regular business hours to get back in, call your building’s phone number and select the Call Center option. Through the Call Center you can request to have a Bellwether-approved locksmith come. The current cost, which will be billed to you, is $180. If you live in a HUD property, this cost is waived. I lost my keys, what do I do? Contact your Site Manager so any missing fobs can be deactivated and you can be issued a replacement. Residents will be charged for replacement keys, cards and fobs if lost, stolen or not returned at move-out. Pricing depends on the type of key. Can I get an extra key for my guest/pet sitter/caregiver? Extra keys may be issued upon approval, and a key deposit may be required to check out an additional key.
